Description
Imported Wild Caught Ball Pythons for Sale
These are imported ball pythons that were hatched in captivity in Africa, from eggs collected in the wild and from wild females. Their parents are unknown, and wild parents means wild genetics!
These are certain “special” or dinker ball pythons that our exporters in West Africa have sourced from various trappers and collectors in our network. This includes cool patterns, special colors, interesting bellies, etc. These are UNPROVEN and UNKNOWN so it’s your job as a breeder to raise them and see if the wild genetics turn out to be a brand new morph.
Please be advised that the Ball Pythons offered for sale have been recently wild caught (WC) and are intended for experienced reptile keepers only. By purchasing, you acknowledge the need for a higher level of care and diligence when managing a WC reptile. Please ensure you are well-prepared for this commitment.
While we strive to assess and ensure the health of these animals, they are sold “as is”, with a guarantee of live arrival only. These snakes may bear minor to moderate signs of their wild origins such as small scars or missing scales. Any more extreme flaws will be explicitly mentioned in our product descriptions, but customers should consider such minor imperfections as standard for WC animals.
Additionally, it’s important for potential buyers to understand that these wild caught Ball Pythons may or may not be accepting food at the time of sale. It is common for recently imported Ball Pythons to require anywhere from a few weeks to several months of settling in before they begin to readily accept prey in a captive environment. With patience, they typically will take live domestic rats without too much difficulty, provided they are housed in appropriately sized rack systems and left undisturbed to acclimate to their new environment.
Our team has administered the first round of external parasite treatment, but the responsibility for quarantine and continued parasite management lies with the customer. It’s important to note that while mites are non-existent in West Africa, reptile ticks are prevalent, and our treatment procedures are tailored accordingly.
We advise customers to allow a minimum of 90 days of acclimation and confirm regular feeding behavior before subjecting these snakes to veterinary check-ups or treatments for internal parasites, as these activities are very stressful and can negatively impact the acclimation process.
The process of acclimating wild caught Ball Pythons is not exactly “easy,” but both our team and our customers have achieved continued success year after year. These snakes are remarkably resilient and adapt well when given a suitable environment in which they can thrive in captivity.
Recommended that experienced keepers purchase these animals and anybody new to reptiles/ball pythons focus on established captive bred animals. Check out our available ball pythons for sale here!
