Captive Hatched Africa Import – Dinker #MD59

This female is outstanding. Typically when I look at a dinker ball I think about: “How many distinguishing features does this animal have that makes it different from a normal. Is it 1. an aberrant pattern? 2. A reduction in the belly pattern? 3. Overall color difference? 4. A cool head stamp or head pattern?”

This is one of those rare animals that checks every box and more. She’s got a basically blank belly, her entire pattern is aberrant and smooth/melted looking, the sides are reduced and blurred around the edges, the head is brown and has a cool black stamp, and her overall color is a more orangey brown. When I think about game changing morphs in the past that had simply one or two of these distingishing features, such as Pastel (color), Orange dream (Color and mild pattern change), Mahogany (Color and pattern) I think that an animal with multiple incredible aberrant features such as this is something for the books. Why isn’t this one $10-20k like most new genes? Well, simple. I think it will be. It just hasn’t been proven yet, and that’s the work that needs put in here, along with a little bit of chance. Is this a risky investment? You might ask: Does Mike think this one is a promising dinker? Is this something that is worth the risk? Sort these Africa imports by price and you tell me what i think here…

The question is, do you want to be an initial investor on a new morph after you watch a youtube video or do you want to be the one making the youtube video for potential investors?

Healthy and feeding on mice.

These are imported baby ball pythons that were hatched in captivity in Africa, from eggs collected in the wild and from wild females. Their parents are unknown, and wild parents means wild genetics!

These are certain “special” balls that I picked out from our import of normal babies due to certain characteristics that stand out to me. This includes cool patterns, special colors, interesting bellies, etc. These are UNPROVEN and UNKNOWN so it’s your job as a breeder to raise them and see if the wild genetics turn out to be a brand new morph.

These babies are checked over for external parasites but they are FRESH AFRICAN IMPORTS and should be cared for accordingly. They may need additional treatments or care compared to captive bred animals. Most will feed readily but some may be stubborn and need additional attention. Recommended that experienced keepers purchase these animals and anybody new to reptiles/ball pythons focus on established captive bred animals.
